Anime Club
The Mailing List
The Anime Club maintains an electronic mailing list for its members. (Non-members are also welcome to join.) This mailing list is typically low-traffic (between one or two and a dozen or so messages per week), although it has been known to become quite busy at times. If you would like to join the list, please send an email to listproc@lists.cc.utexas.edu. Your message should have no subject, and the body should contain only the following two lines:
subscribe ut-anime Your Name Here
--
Of course, you should replace “Your Name Here” with your real name. As you may suspect, you unsubscribe by following the same steps, except you use “unsubscribe” instead of “subscribe” in the message body (and you don’t need to include your full name).
For example, if you were named John Doe, you would send the following message (without any subject) in order to subscribe:
subscribe ut-anime John Doe
--
If you were to grow weary of the anime world, you could then unsubscribe by sending the following message (from the same account, and again, with no subject line):
unsubscribe ut-anime
--
If you have any problems (for example, this does not work for you, or you receive an error message that makes no sense), you can contact the list administrator directly at ut-anime-request@lists.cc.utexas.edu.
Once you have successfully signed on to the list, you will receive an introductory message containing a summary of these instructions, as well as instructions on how to post to the list. If you do not receive such a message within a reasonable period of time (up to half a day), please contact the list administrator for assistance.
