Membership Requirements

  1. Turn in completed membership application
  2. Pay dues by the 3rd general meeting ($35 per semester/$45 per year)
  3. Subscribe to our UT mailing list:
    • 1. Look on the bottom left and click "Subscribe".
      2. Fill out your email address and click "Submit".
  4. If you'd like to unsubscribe, do the following:
    • 1. Log onto the mailing list site (https://utlists.utexas.edu/sympa/lists)
      2. In the Your Lists section, select the list name for the subscription you want to cancel.
      3. Select the Unsubscribe link, then confirm that you want to unsubscribe from the list.

To be an active member, you must do the following:

  1. Attend 4 out of 6 general meetings and the mandatory meeting (1 makeup—a med school lecture—is allowed)
  2. 6 hours of volunteering (at least 2 events)
  3. 3 hours of fundraising (points given per hour; food fundraisers count as 1 and .5 per friend)
  4. 5 socials (at least one hour at each event; family night count)
  5. 3 of 4 academic points (turn in tests, professor evaluations, etc.)
