Officer Duties

President
  1. Must be a former AHPO officer
  2. Overlooks officer positions
  3. Coordinate study sessions, volunteer events, and socials
  4. Set dates and agendas for meetings; get room reservations for AHPO events
  5. Plan and order T-shirts
  6. Make announcements about HPC/HPO news
  7. Act as AHPO representative on Health Professions Council
Vice President
  1. Coordinates and manages recruitment (tabling, GTT, flyers)
  2. Make powerpoint for each meeting
  3. Set up study session dates; update and organize new tests for test bank
  4. Student Organization logistics (register, PCL locker, etc.)
Secretary
  1. Keep track of points through membership database
  2. Make newsletter for each meeting; send newsletter and summary of meeting via e-mail after each meeting
  3. Send members reminders regarding each meeting
  4. Check AHPO mailbox (SSB 4th floor)
  5. Make member database (contact info, major, professional school interest) each semester
Treasurer
  1. Set up at least two fundraisers (ushering, car wash, restaurant fundraisers) per semester
  2. Collect dues
  3. Work with secretary to keep track of points
  4. Write cheks for expenses; balance expenses
  5. Provide refreshments/food at each meeting
Volunteer Coordinator
  1. Coordinate and plan at least 4 volunteer events per semester
  2. Work with secretary to keep track of points
Social Coordinator
  1. Coordinate social events and IM sports throughout the semester
  2. Plan end-of-the-semester banquet
  3. Brainstorm icebreakers for meetings
Programming Director
  1. Find individuals from a variety of health professional fields to speak at meetings
  2. Act as the liaison between AHPO and speaker
  3. Buy gift and bottle of water for each speaker (will be reimbursed)
Historian
  1. Take pictures at all AHPO events, or designate someone to do so if unable to attend
  2. Keep track of members' points from submitting pictures
Webmaster
  1. Keep the website updated with events, announcements, the point sheet, etc.
  2. Post meeting recaps on the website via powerpoint
  3. Make sure the website is paid for through the Student Organization Bank
  4. Manage the design and functionality of the website; make sure it's user-friendly
  5. Help maintain the test bank forum
