A particular fantasy/hobby
that many members of The Phalanx share is to weight themselves down in expensive
hoplite garb and then engage in mock battles, march around, or frighten small
children/animals in public. So....
here is a list--not complete by any stretch of the imagination--of places that
offer pieces of metal bent to satisfy the whimsy of Greek enthusiasts.
Note: Armour is not
cheap, especially when it is custom-made. Greek armour is comparatively rare,
too, so prices for it are generally higher than its medieval counterparts. An
entire panoply can easily exceed US$1,500. You have been warned.

Although the pieces shown are manufactured, I
wouldn't be ashamed to own them at all. The Corinthian helmet
(IS1300) is especially well-formed, and the promise of a crest in
the future--considering the relatively low price of $60 for a crest
here--makes it a good choice in my opinion.

I believe all of the Greco/Roman contents are
manufactured. Items are similar to Blacksword's inventory, but the
prices are a bit higher.

Don't believe the example picture given on the
website. The finished product is much, much, much nicer. I (Kevin
Marshall) have a helmet from them w/red crest, and Kevin Hendryx's
entire panoply is made through them. Great quality, just on the
costly side.

Decent pricing for a custom-made cuirass, but the
lack of a bronze model is unfortunate.

No examples provided, but everything is custom-made.
Questionable product (muscled cuirasses are apparently a tough
product to make), moderately priced .
